VISA Process

Secure French Institution Admission

Your first essential step is to obtain an official acceptance letter from a recognized French educational institution, such as EBEP. This letter is proof of your enrollment and is mandatory for your visa application.

Gather Required Documents

Compile all necessary paperwork, which typically includes your passport, acceptance letter, proof of financial resources, accommodation certificate, academic transcripts, and a visa application form. Ensure all documents are accurate and complete.

Attend Visa Appointment

On the day of your appointment, arrive punctually with all your original documents and their photocopies. You will submit your application, provide biometric data (fingerprints and photo), and may undergo a brief interview regarding your study plans.

Travel & Validate Visa in France

Upon arrival in France, you must complete your visa validation process. For most long-stay student visas, this involves registering online with the French Office of Immigration and Integration (OFII) within three months of entering France.

Create Campus France Account

If applicable to your nationality and program, create an account on the Campus France platform. This online portal manages your application process for studies in France and is a prerequisite for many visa types.

Schedule Visa Appointment

Book an appointment at the French Consulate or VFS Global center in your country of residence. It's crucial to schedule this well in advance, as availability can be limited, especially during peak application periods.

Wait for Visa Processing

After your appointment, your application will undergo processing. Visa processing times can vary significantly depending on the consulate, the time of year, and your specific circumstances. You can often track your application status online.

Apply for Residence Permit

If your study program extends beyond the validity of your initial visa (typically one year), you will need to apply for a residence permit (Titre de Séjour) at your local prefecture a few months before your visa expires to legally continue your stay.
